Zach is 6!!

It was a Bakugan birthday for Zach. Isn't it ridiculous the type of toys that are putting people in early retirement and prolonging ours? Zach is in love with those little round transformer wanna-be, Happy Meal quality toys. They entertain James and him for hours.

Zach's day started with breakfast with James, Jackson and Dad at the school cafeteria and they loved it. After school Mom took the other kids and him and they met Dad at Zach's new favorite pizza spot, Santa Monica Pizza for "All you can eat". He loves the pizza, mac n cheese, and spaghetti and meatballs. And then after Dad got off work they went to see G-Force, boy we could go off on that movie for hours, but the kids did have a good time.

Mom wasn't feeling too hot today, so they called it an early night and came home for Mom's homemade Oreo Ice Cream pie and a few hours of Bakugan.

Happy birthday Zach. We love you, you're a great Young Man!!

As we all know, it is that time of year. School is in and my life just got a little easier...so I thought. James started 2nd grade last week and my little Zach started his first day of Kindergarten on Monday. Of course with 2 in school I have found that mornings are a little crazy trying to get them out the door. Can't wait for next week when Jackson starts. It is just a lot of running around. I am so excited for all of them and am so proud.

Boy do they grow up so fast.

OK, I am so not the type of person to blog about me but this post is going to be about ME!! My little story begins almost a year ago (which is totally crazy that it has been a year) when I had my little Sophie, well before I had Sophie. As we all know I was pregnant and HUGE. No thanks to me and toxemia. None the less I was HUGE. So after having Sophie, I was desperate to lose the pounds that I had so quickly put on. So my sweet friend dragged me out for black Friday and I purchased a treadmill and started my attempt at losing the pounds. So around Christmas that same friend signed me up for a half marathon. I thought "Yea right, like I will be able to run 13 miles!" Well I accomplished that goal and in May I ran the Ogden Marathon. Then my cousin called and wanted me to run in a relay from Logan to Jackson Hole. Again, "YEA Right!" Well Friday I actually did it. It was so hard and so fun at the same time. And it two weeks I am running my second half marathon. I must say I never ever imagined that I would become a little runner but there is something that feels so good when you are done and you know what you have accomplished. Well that is my storey of how a very overweight girl got her grove back and ended up loving something in the end.
I was hesitant to post this picture but you really needed to see just how big I really was!!!! It still blows me away when I see myself. The saddest part of this is that Sophie was only a 2 lb baby!!! Really come on!
Starting the race.

Scary!!!! This was my night run and boy do I look horrible. We had to wear all that gear and I look ridiculous.

Finally my last run and was I wanting to cry! My legs could hardly carry me. I felt like I was dragging 500 pounds. But I finished all my legs in under a 10 min. mile and I must say I am proud of that. (Sorry about the sideways picture I can not for the life of me turn the dang thing.) Well that is the end of me talking about me!

#7

Where does the time go. James turned 7 and I can hardly believe it. We had a fun fill day on his b-day. I told James that we were going to forgo a friend b-day party this year and he took it like a man. The child has a friend b-day party since he was 2 years old. James woke up to a scavenger hunt to find his present and Zach and Jackson made him play hot and cold to find theirs. I have to say that it is kind of nice when they get a little older and you don't have to buy all the dumb little toys. He only asked for two things a razor powerwing and a new helmet. He loves his powerwing!! We topped the day off with a little bowling and dinner. I hope my big guy had a great day. He truly is such a blessing in my life. He is the best helper and a great big brother. I love you James and we are so glad you are in our family. Happy Birthday!!!

Cabo!

So Kenny and I got the chance to go the Cabo San Lucas with my little sister and her hubby. It was so so much fun. We spent the week by the pool getting a lot of sun, eating a ton of yummy yummy food prepared by cute little Maria and her husband, snorkeling (by Kenny), parasailing and just relaxing. It was so nice to get away with Kenny after nine years and a really bummer honeymoon with Kenny being so sick. We got to stay in a beautiful home with our own private beach. Thanks Heather and Doug for inviting us on such a great relaxing trip. A huge thanks to Kenny's mom for being willing to take my kids for the week and taking such good care of them. Here are a few highlights! This was the view out my bedroom doors! Was I spoiled or what!!This is lover's beach. It was so pretty! We had all our yummy dinner's under this little hut!

Thanks again Heather and Doug of the fun memories! Thanks hun for taking me and being the best husband ever! I love you!

Spring Break 2009!

The boys had spring break this past week and we tried to keep them busy with family fun. Thursday we went to Chuck-n-cheese and we call it with the cousins. Lets just say that it is not Heather's first choice of family fun. The kids had a blast. Kenny took Friday off and we started the day going to breakfast at Jeremiah's ...yummy. Then we met more cousins at the movies and saw Monsters vs. Aliens. The kids of course loved it. Jackson and I fell asleep. Then we headed off for a night over in Park City. We went shopping and then went swimming at the hotel. Kids favorite!!! Later that night we spent a whopping $13.00 to watch one movie in our room. Kenny threatened the kids that if they fell asleep they would owe him the cost of the movie. Needless to say, the kids and I made it through and Dad fell asleep. We then woke up went swimming again and headed off to Grandmas for a fun Easter feast and Easter egg hunt. That night Aunt Ashley came and spent the night with us and the kids woke up and got their Easter baskets. It was a weird Easter Sunday, we had Stake Conference at 3:00. Thankfully, Ashley kept the kids and Kenny and I went and had a very quiet meeting. Thanks Ash.
Thanks everyone for making our spring break a blast!!!! Here are some of the highlights.

Sophie's first Sunday to Church!!! I leave for a night and this is what happens to my little girl. Kenny dresses her in Jackson pj's. I know Sophie "get these stinking close off me". Buy the way Daddy let her sleep in these. I only found out in the middle of the night when she woke up!

Thanks everyone for a fun Spring Break! Love you all!
